cushion cover: “Swedish Women Composers” – Swedish handprint

A cushion cover with a selection of Swedish Women Composers from mid 19th century to present.

The fabric is handprinted by the meter at a handprinting factory with long traditions in Jämtland, a countie in northern Sweden, in the village Nälden were Katarina Hamilton was born. This item is sewn in a semstress workshop in an other village in the same region, on the other side of Storsjön, “Big Lake”. The parts of this item is cut from the fabric printed by the meter making the pattern happen differently to each sewn item. Enjoy having your own unique item!
